Certified Leadership Fellow (CLF)

The Chartered Leadership Fellow (CLF) is the first managerial leadership designation created specifically for financial services professionals. Based on the premise that managers need educational emphasis in leadership, interpersonal relationships, and organization, the CLF curriculum – developed by The American College management faculty and LIMRA International, with the assistance of a practitioner advisory committee – provides contemporary thinking on the principles of leadership and management. The CLF program blends classroom skills training and development with a proven distance education self-study approach.

Anyone who has 3 years' experience in a leadership position in the financial services industry is eligible to earn the CLF designation. In particular, the CLF is appropriate for those in leadership roles in the operation of a "field" organization.
